Choosing the right clothes for your baby can be an unexpectedly daunting task. Especially if you're a new parent, buying baby clothes necessitates some insight into the world of infants. Babies grow very quickly, sleep a great deal, and can soil their clothes at the drop of a hat. These little guys and gals can be demanding on garment makers !

One piece jumpsuits, also known as "onesies" are the classic choice to dress your baby in during the day. Though Onesie is a brand name, many reputable baby clothing stores such as Petit Lem, Kissy Kissy, and Emile et Rose carry durable, one piece baby day outfits. These compact outfits are designed to help keep diapers properly situated and can withstand the incessant crawling about of curious tots. In addition, one piece body suits are easy to remove during diaper changes.

At night, one piece daywear can be changed for pajamas (often after a diaper change) . Pajamas also often one piece, but tend to be more climate dependent. In warmer climates, baby pajamas tend to be very thin and light to promote ventilation, while pajamas in northern climes are heavier and often made of flannel or knits. A common feature in baby nightwear is foot covering built into the pajama pants itself. This is important, to prevent body heat from escaping though exposed feet.

Even the youngest baby needs to venture out onto the town (escorted, of course) every now and then. "On the town" clothes deserve to be in their own category. This can also be a fun time of bonding between parent and child. Over time, babies will begin to enjoy the dress up process, as it signals that a fun field trip is about to happen. It is here in this category that you enter the world of "baby fashion" where different choices for dress up clothes multiply . Companies such as Petit Patapon, Emile et Rose, Kissy Kissy and Petit Lem have wonderful cotton clothes for even the most discerning whipper snapper.

A very important consideration in baby clothing is ease of care. That cute little outfit could cause quite a bit of discomfort if it's made of the wrong materials, doesn't breathe easily, or is too constrictive. Clothes for a newborn should be soft, absorbent, and made of natural fibers. Always look at the care labels while you're still in the store and make sure that the item is machine washable and doesn't have any special restrictions regarding detergents, bleaches, or fabric softeners. You're not likely to come across any baby clothing that requires dry cleaning, but you always want to be sure. Cotton is definitely the fabric of choice for baby clothing for the reasons mentioned above, but cotton does have a nasty tendency to shrink when washed in hot water. Your baby will outgrow her clothes quickly enough, so items that contain a blend of cotton and other, non-shrinking, fibers may be acceptable. Make sure that the cotton to poly ratio is weighted in cotton's favor and you should still be all right in terms of comfort while ensuring that little Sarah will be able to get into her duds for as long as possible.

If you are petite and slim, colors are very important for you. Single color or a blend of one-color tone is the best for you. Perpendicular prototypes and seaming are also very excellent. Simple jumpers and clothing lean to give a longer line for petite women, shorter jackets presents a leggier look, wearing solids prints as an alternative of bulky and garish ones will also help to optically formulate you higher. A large amount of petite women don't bother to be dressed in high-heeled shoes. Nevertheless, don't formulate too much of it, too gigantic or high shoes will make you look ludicrous instead of graceful. Wearing the right kind of combination is very important for everyone. If you are wearing the right kind of combination then it will make you look stylish and cool and you will feel very comfortable and trendy if you are wearing right kind colors.

Women who are petite and huge should be extremely considerate while choosing garments. You're garments must fit absolutely well to conceal the particulars you don't like. Women, those who have such body outline should keep away from skintight, keep away from breast pocket, soft at the neck and the collar, and all the other pockets, shouldn't put on anything that is bulky, big or complex. There are lots of different types of garments in the market, which can provide you with a great deal of comfort. There are tons of people, who only go in for a brand without worrying about the price, what I would suggest is to have a bit of both.

Corresponding garments with your body outline is rather easy if you distinguish some basic issues. Classify your body outline, match colors and decide the right models. That is all you require to conceal your lacks and make your good body qualities more visible.

As a style consultant, I know that scale is a combination of height and bone structure and may be petite, average or large.  Your body scale will determine the size of patterns, the weight of fabrics and how much texture you can wear, as well as the size of your accessories.  Petite figures are generally under 1.6m with small facial features, fine fingers and often have a shoe size under 37.  This is actually one of the hardest body shapes to dress to impress.

In dressing a petite figure your three main aims are firstly to wear clothes that don't swamp you, secondly to never to wear anything that cuts your body in half and thirdly to always try to draw attention away from your lower body and towards your face.

Neat fitting clothes with clean and uncluttered lines are ideal and a monochromatic head to toe look is excellent for creating the illusion of height.  Everything you wear, from clothes to accessories like belts and handbags must be in proportion to your small frame or you will look overpowered.  Accessories like scarves and earrings are a brilliant way to draw attention to your face and always having a neat hairstyle and fresh make-up will also draw the eye upwards.

Always look to buy fine to medium-weight fabrics with little texture since this can create too much bulk, particularly if you are layering.  Go for shorter length fitted jackets and high-waisted trousers – again to lengthen the leg.  Vertical stripes help to give a longer line and a taller appearance.  Necklines shaped in a V are especially flattering on petites because the V-shape draws the eye up and gives the illusion of a longer neck.   The wrap dress is a good way to wear a V-neck.

With regard to shoes, it is a misconception that shorter people need to wear very high heels.  Any heel over three inches will make a petite woman look like someone who is trying to be taller.  Medium height heels work best since they are in better proportion to your frame as well as being more comfortable.  Generally your shoes and hosiery should be a similar colour.  If, for example, you are wearing a blue suit you should pair this with a nude shade of tights and fairly neutral shoes to create a long-legged illusion.   Another way to make your legs look longer is, within reason, to show as much leg as possible.  Straight skirts and dresses that end at your knee or slightly above are the most flattering lengths for a petite frame.

Wherever possible, smaller framed people should avoid any large accessories and prints as well as oversized t-shirts, frills and horizontal stripes, all of which will create the wrong effect.  Although colour blocking is good, if you wish to wear two colours try to ensure that the brighter colour is used on the top one third of your frame otherwise you will not look correctly balanced.

I seem to remember around two decades ago, when the big people I knew were older. Nowadays, there seems to be a lot of younger people belonging to the plus-size category. Nevertheless, they need apparel that makes them stand out and look fashionable too. There are several fashion retailers that have come out with great outfits in large sizes. These are actually both for men and women. In the past, it was indeed easier for large men to find clothing that was suitable for their size; however, these were not always available in the latest fashions.

The fashion industry is changing, along with the recent trends and needs for apparel. You can now find a lot of fashion shops and merchants on the Internet with a wide selection of plus-size clothing for both men and women. These apparel feature the latest fashionable trends, from sportswear, business wear, casual, sleep wear, underwear, shoes, etc. Popular designer brands are also included, and everything is designed and tailored exclusively for the plus-size clientele. Many of these apparel are also offered at discounted prices, which is another definite plus.

As a matter of fact, more and more clothing companies are designing and creating new fashions and styles for larger customers. Some time ago, plus-size products for plus-size customers were hidden or tucked away into the corners of any store or outlet you can find. Times have changed indeed, as a wide variety of businesses, from clothing retailers to automobile manufacturers, have come to realize that big people are big for business, thus creating and customizing almost everything to fit the new market.

But what exactly, you may ask, is a plus-size? Well, this is the general term used to define women's sizes that range from size 12 and above. As mentioned above, these sizes are available in a wide variety of styles, from jeans, skirts, casual wear, and beach wear to outfits for special occasions, business, or athletic wear. A lot of plus-size outfits have styles that flatter the body, and are designed to fit the size and shape of a larger woman. These make it easier to flaunt a woman's assets while camouflaging her concerns.

There are now a variety of colors and styles for plus-sized dresses, jackets, tops, jeans, pants, lingerie, swimwear, skirts, and sweaters, to name a few. Sportswear and swimwear designs are especially created to allow bigger women to be active, while providing firm, reliable support. Full-figured teenagers can also indulge in their favorite fashions without worrying about limited availability of trendy and cool jeans, skirts, tops, and jackets. One of the most popular items for full-figured teens is the plus-size brassiere. This is easy to wear, comfortable, and allows her to fit, contour, and sculpt her body.

Plus-sized fashions are now readily available for different seasons and occasions, and come in different fabrics, colors, and designs. If needed, information and advice on plus-sized apparel is always on hand from various retailer websites and those of the manufacturing or fashion design companies.

What you see – This is a spacious  store which deals only in men's clothing. The racks are not overloaded with wares, giving it a neat and tidy look.

Prashant Agarwal, an alumnus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai started this store in around 2000. That could possibly be the reason behind the designer appeal of the clothes here and the store's ability to customize clothing for you.

What you get – This store has a wide variety of readymade clothing like kurtas in fluid fabrics and tight fitted churidars, apart from fabric for suits and sherwanis. But what you should look for here is customized clothing as they are experts at that.

To get an ordinary suit stitched, they would charge a minimum of Rs. 1,000. Again, as per your designs and choices, the rates could go as high as Rs. 30,000 as well. Business suits can also be tailor-made here. So pick a fabric and design and try them out.

Even for sherwanis there is a wide assortment of designs, fabrics and colors available. So a groom-to-be should visit this store. What's more? You will be able to get matching Indian sandals or jooties as well here.

Then there is some western party wear available too. This includes shirts, trousers and blazers ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,500. This collection does not have as much variety as others though.

Our verdict –Variety is good and the price range is wide. If you are into tailor-made clothing then this store is a must-visit. But please make sure that you place your order at least seven days in advance during off season. During peak season make it 15 days before to avoid last minute disappointment. For two wheelers there isn't much trouble for parking as it can be done just outside the store but four wheelers need to find a spot for safe parking of their vehicles.

Are you a petite woman who finds shopping for clothes which fit, a real challenge? I am a petite woman and I used to find that being less than 5ft 3" meant that my size is not at the top of the manufactures lists!

So, what changed? Well, since training as an Image Consultant, I am now fully equipped with rules & tools to enable me to select the right styles and put together my outfits appropriately for my size.

 Colour

All of use can use the key rule of wearing one colour from head to toe to create the illusion of height.  If you prefer to wear two colours, make sure the proportions are 2/3 to 1/3, with the lighter, brighter colour being the 1/3 at the top.

 Volume

Wearing bulky fabrics or those styles with large volume will only succeed in swamping the petite frame. So, ensure you avoid skirts & trousers with minimal volume.

 Prints

Smaller prints are far more flattering for petites. Large patterns will swamp you and give you the appearance of being larger than you actually are.

 Fabric weight

You need to ensure you balance the weight of fabric with your bone structure. If you have very fine fingers, narrow wrists and angles, you will need to keep to minimal texture in your clothing. You can layer your fabrics but make sure this is only done with fine to medium fabrics.

 Clothing details

Try to avoid clothing styles which have large details which run the risk of making you look like a clown!  Detailing such as pockets, buttons, collars, belts need to be kept in balance with your scale and height.  If you choose to wear a large accessory such as a necklace or belt as a statement piece, then you need to ensure it is the only piece and that the rest of the outfit must be kept simple.

 Tall & Petite

If you are petite in scale but are tall, you can tweak these rules slightly. With your height you will be able to wear more colour blocking. Layering can be achieved using heavier and more textured fabrics. A neat hairstyle is a must for a petite frame but if you are taller, you can opt for a fuller hairstyle. You will also be able to wear larger accessories without the worry of them being to large for your frame.

When it comes to fashion, a significant part of looking good has to do with dressing for your body type. After all, the most fashionable of clothing items simply won't do justice if placed on the wrong body. However, while assessing one's body type with relation to clothes shopping often has to do with specific features of the body - such as the width of the hips, or the length of the legs - some 'body types' can come to mean various things; the 'petite' body being one of them.

When people come across the word 'petite', they often immediately think of a person with smaller dimensions all over - whether it's in their height and weight to the length of their limbs and torso. However, while the word generally refers to someone who is 5'4" or shorter, many dimensions can still vary greatly. For instance, many petite people have long torsos and short legs, or vice versa. What's more, weight can vary significantly from one person to another, with dimensions in features such as hips differing just as much.

For this reason, it's often challenging for some people to find clothing that fits them well. A petite person will often have to shorten the legs on trousers or the seams on dresses due to their height. However, if they opt to shop for generally smaller sizes for height, they might end up with smaller clothing dimensions for features such as hip width - which isn't always ideal. So what's the best way to go about shopping for a 'petite' body frame?

It helps to seek out stores that offer specialised departments for petite sizes. Doing so can take a lot of the effort out of searching for sizes, and enable you to focus more on finding fashions that you like. Of course, even petite departments will have a lot of variance in sizes due to the fact that the term can apply to people of various body dimensions.

Once you're shopping for the right sizes, it helps to keep a few tips in mind with regard to the look you're trying to achieve. Therefore, try going for high-waisted, figure hugging trousers to elongate your legs; however, if you choose to wear low-rise trousers, ensure they're not too short. Another way to make your legs look longer is to wear high-heeled boots (not too high though - 5 cm max will do) with short dresses and skirts that fall anywhere above the knee.

Wearing similar-coloured tops and bottoms - as well as wearing a belt that's the same colour as your skirt or trousers - will help elongate your silhouette too. If you like prints then opt for small, vertical prints and motifs, particularly avoiding horizontal stripes. And don't wear oversized accessories such as large jewellery pieces or sunglasses - you want to ensure accessories stay in proportion with your size. If you want to look taller, you can try wearing buttoned shirt dresses or tying long, skinny scarves loosely round your neck. You can also put your hair up in a bun or wear a headband to elongate your top half.

When it comes to shopping for petite clothing there are many ways to achieve the look you want. However, be sure to keep some specific shopping tips in mind in order to help you look your best in a wardrobe that's right for you.

You will hear people saying that it's hard to find clothes for the petite figures. But don't go on hearing such rumors. There is nothing like that. Is it possible in a world of hub of dresses, you will not get clothing foe petite figures. It may need a little bit of research in stores but you will surely end up getting dress of your dreams.

Actually problem comes like sometimes dress looks larger on you or make you shorter than you are etc. Follow some pointers and no problem will come in finding a perfect dress for you. Look in stores, shops, and boutiques or in online stores by keeping these pointers in mind. For style in dresses go along the below written tips:

Monochromatic colors and dark colors are a very good choice for attaining a streamlined upshot. Avoid contrasting colors.

Do not wear fancier dresses with many details on them like of embroidery, sequins, ribbons, beads or sashes, as they make you look heavy. Keep dress simple for the most amazing effect.

If you want to look taller wear short skirts. It gives elongating effect to your legs thus appear lofty in style. Also show off your legs. Avoid calf-length or ankle-length skirts that make you look shorter than you are. You can wear mini skirts also, depending on your age, your comfort level and your body type.

One of the other ways to look elevated is to consider wearing heels. It looks quite graceful and elegant too. Pointed shoes is mooted good while avoid squared toe shoes. If you are comfortable, wear shoes with at least a two-inch heel.

Wear small prints in design. Large prints will make you look fatter and does not suit your personality also. Thus avoid them. On a petite figure, large prints make you look smaller and overwhelm your body. Go for clothes without prints or look for small prints.

Look for well fitting clothes. Proportioned clothes that fit over each curve appear well on you. Remember, the fitted look and the flattering look is directly proportional.

Straight-legged pants is a very good wear for petite figures as tapered pants look terrible despite of what your body type is, and boot cut or flared pants make petite women look shorter than they are. Pants should be properly hemmed so the hems brush the tops of your shoes.

Whether you are going for gowns, tops, jumpers, jackets or any other dress having sleeves on it, it should be ¾.

As jewelry is considered must have for a dress and should be worn by petite women too. But avoid too heavy jewelry, reason is same, it will give heavy look. Lighter jewelry will look very good on you.

Thus it can be seen that there are many options in petite clothing. Just you have to look for the one suits you. Remember three mantras for petite figure and no one can stop you from looking stampede i.e. a knockout heel, a mini skirt and a neutral palette. Precisely applying these precepts is sure to turn you into a charming personality. Do not repent for what you have aspired but cannot wear due to ineptness. Mark, looking beautiful is not about wearing beautiful things; it's about what beautifies you.
